The Best Part of Waking Up

...is surprisingly not Folger's in your cup. It's the sun coming up over glistening waves right in front of your beach house, while sitting on the porch in complete silence, holding a vanilla chai tea with honey in it.  Just to clarify.

How could you not want to spend your morning breathing this in every day?

And it's not just the beach, the water, the perfect view. It's the whole beach house feel. The salty breeze flowing through the open doors, the constant trail of sand on the cool tiles (no matter how much you rinse your feet), and the porches-- how I love the porches; screened it, open, wrap around, roof top, bottom floor, swings, hammocks. There's something about endless porches that just makes me so incredibly happy.

I'm sitting on the screened in porch right now, watching a seriously intense thunderstorm, and I have to say that it's even cooler than laying out on the beach on a perfectly sunny day. I've never actually sat outside during pouring rain and monstrous bolts of thunder (by choice), but it's pretty invigorating.  Even though I stayed perfectly dry and was not technically outside ;)

Don't worry, there has also been plenty of time for this...

So here's hoping the rest of this week doesn't fly by too fast ;)
