Bunnies and Baskets
The easter bunny was good to us this year-- a little too good. I'm not sure that I want to continue letting Niall have a piece of candy after every breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack until we run out.... because, honestly, that could take a couple months.
Which is why I've decided to be so kind as to step in and help with all that chocolate overload. I'm pretty selfless like that :)
I was especially excited this year because Niall is at the age where he really gets it. And, of course, we have a new participant in the festivities this year, which makes everything that much better...
The easter bunny must have known that my little guys were ready for the challenge, so he decided to shake things up a bit and hide the easter basket. Scavenger style...
Little clues tucked into eggs along the way, but not tricky enough for my big boy...
The whole Easter basket thing was mainly Niall's show, but he was nice enough to let Brendan watch...
...from a safe distance:
And, after assessing what was not really worth his time, he decided to share the boring stuff with Brendan (sidewalk chalk, stuffed animals, empty eggs, bubbles, anything not candy...)
Don't worry, Brendan got his way in the end (we'll keep in on the DL from big bro)...
As if that wasn't enough excitement, we topped off the day with an easter egg hunt after church:
Brendan got a little help-- even from Niall.
But let's just say, Niall won.
All in all, though, not a bad day for this guy either.
Hope you had a happy Easter!
